The school governors have identified the following overarching goals as part of their three year strategic planning:

Quality of Education

 

 

  • To further develop the use of oracy and subject vocabulary.
  • To ensure recall and recap opportunities are built into all medium term planning for all subjects
  • To address gaps in children’s learning due to school closure COVID-19 

 

Behaviour and Attitudes

 

 

  • To encourage children to use their voices and raise awareness of issues important to them and the community
  • To ensure high levels of well-being thus enabling children to build positive relationships and be highly motivated to achieve success 

 

Personal Development

 

 

  • To further develop pupils’ cultural understanding.
  • To develop ‘character education’ through P.E.
  • To ensure we continue to support and encourage our pupils to make healthy choices in terms of their physical well-being

 

Leadership and Management

 

 

  •  To establish systems for monitoring and measuring the impact of the curriculum on children’s knowledge and understanding
  • To retain ‘Outstanding’ status for SIAMS
  • To explore the benefits and opportunities of school federation.
  • To ensure governors are have the knowledge to support monitoring, evaluation and reviewing of the school’s curriculum offer. 

 

Quality of Early Years Education

 

  • To sustain outstanding teaching and learning in EYFS within the restrictions of COVID 19.
  • To ensure that speech and language difficulties are not a barrier to developing good communication skills.
